I am writing this to recommend the work of EGA and
specifically, Dr. Mustafa Saribudak. I have known Dr.
Saribudak for about 10 years,
beginning when CPS
Energy contracted with EGA to perform ground penetrating
radar and resistivity work regarding the location of high
voltage utility towers in the San Antonio Texas area,
specifically in karst limestone areas. This was a new
application of this technology and would require that each
tower location be treated as a stand alone project, and
would require a significant amount of attention to detail
and skill. By using GPR and resistivity at each tower
location, we were able to avoid drilling into underground
caves and voids that might contain endangered species,
thus avoiding a violation of the Endangered Species Act
and any related delays to the completion of construction of
the power lines. The work by EGA resulted in avoidance of
impacting endangered species and completion of the
project on time.

Since that first successful project, CPS Energy has used
EGA on all of our power line efforts that might impact
underground endangered species, resulting in the
successful completion of the projects. Without the skill and
dedication of Mr. Saribudak and his support staff, these
important projects might not have been completed which
would have had a negative impact on our ability to provide
reliable electricity to our customers.

I highly recommend the work of
Dr. Saribudak and EGA to
others in need of GPR, resistivity and related subsurface
evaluation technology. If you have any questions, please
feel free to contact me at 210-353-2279, or
sasmith@cpsenergy.com.

Dear Dr. Saribudak,

We
recently found out that the substation that
our cable tray was going to feed to has
moved locations.  We were still going to go
through the section that you had surveyed but
because of the information you provided we
have decided to take another route with less
congestion.
The information you provided
was very helpful and saved us a lot of time
and money not going through that corridor.
Thank you again for your services and we
will keep you in mind for any upcoming
projects with similar situations.

PSI was contracted to provide engineering services
to support an evaluation of a 100+ year old building
at a major military installation in San Antonio,
Texas.
EGA was contacted by PSI to provide
geophysical services to explore the foundations of
this building and the surrounding subgrade soils
as a supplement to our standard geotechnical
exploration. Using
micro-resistivity surveys, EGA
located a number of areas of granular soil where
substantial amounts of moisture have
accumulated. EGA's resistivity data also indicated
the presence of an abandoned sewer main under
the building that was not known to be present at
the time, but has been verified on old base maps.

The services
EGA provided to us on this project
have been instrumental in our ability to effectively
locate our geotechnical borings and test pits in
areas of interest, and develop effective
recommendations for this project. I highly
recommend EGA when it comes to using
geophysics in forensic engineering applications.
