An Introduction to EGA

Founded by Dr. Saribudak in 1994, Environmental Geophysics Associates offers a broad range of geophysical surveys to aid in the geotechnical and environmental problems. A New Contract

EGA was awarded a contract in 2021 by a mining company in Texas to provide geophysical services for their coal production. The purpose of the geophysical surveys is to map and define the depth and geometry of the hard rock along profiles where production of coal will be extracted. Determining where this hard rock unit lies spatially before the removal of the overburden will provide useful information to perform the excavation activities more efficiently.

Karst Geophysics

EGA performed geophysical surveys at the MOPAC Intersection in Austin for a TxDOT project. During the construction, several caves were exposed decorated with stalagmites and stalactites. The geophysical signatures of these caves and their associated faults and fractures were quite revealing and unique.
